China * Withstands -18º C
This bamboo is admirable for the coloring of its stems. When young they are olive green, finely striated with very light green; with age, these striations turn yellow and then purple. Some stalks remain totally green. Large leaves (10 to 15 cm), sea green on the underside. Little invasive rhizomes. Precocity of young shoots that come out at the beginning of April.
It should be noted that this bamboo needs good agricultural care in order to fully develop all its qualities.
Small woodlands, isolated tufts.
Admirable for the extreme variety of colors of the stalks and the plurality of its shapes, this bamboo is well placed in any garden.
