Features
Very hard, slightly rough stem, with very dense foliage. Like many bamboos, the parts of the culms in the shade are green and those exposed to the sun turn yellow.
Care
Not too demanding on the nature of the soil, even accepting poorly drained land.
Uses
Hedge, windbreak, massifs, isolated tufts.
Benefits
The sliced sections, even when exposed to the sun, rarely split.
