The sheaths are usually shorter than the internodes. The leaves vary in length from 8 to 20 cm and in width from 0.5 to 2 cm. The first year’s sprouts are straight before bending harmoniously under the weight of the foliage. It is one of the rarest Fargesia cultivated in Europe that supports direct sun exposure well. In good conditions, it can reach a height of 5 m.
With no particular requirements, it develops both in the shade and in the sun.
